Hello Frame is a participatory project that took the form of a website, which instigates physical realization of an indexical space through the completion of a series of performative actions. Linked to the area of neuroscience called proprioception, as well as somatic methods of awareness such as Feldenkrais, Hello Frame initiates an understanding of an indicative space as one in its own right-which one can actively inhabit.
A series of images referring to the photographic process. The images are taken through viewfinders of various cameras. In order to blend the final images with the process of their creation, the size and the marks found on the viewfinders were preserved, as well as occasional blurs in the surrounding area.
Touch the Four Corners is a part of another project, Hello Frame, a participatory project which instigates physical realization of an indexical space through the completion of a series of performative actions. Linked to the area of neuroscience called proprioception, as well as somatic methods of awareness such as Feldenkrais, Hello Frame initiates an understanding of an indicative space as one in its own right-which one can actively inhabit.
Experiments in . Using glitched images from Google Street View and rendering them through traditional mapping techniques, such as photo etching, juxtaposing medium and content
If the haptic is defined as ‘the sensibility of the individual to the world adjacent to his body by use of his body", then this project investigates the role of the body as a method of measurement of space. As haptic perception and body movement are closely linked, Haptic is a performative piece, as much as it is a lens based and site specific outcome.
Projections were used to integrate the mapping process with the space itself: our understanding of space is formed through our existence within it and is inseparable to our experience of such. As projections add another visual-yet intangible- layer to a surface, the same thing happens when one actively engages with a surface: a deeper comprehension of such is formed, hence creating another layer of understanding.
Photo-etching results with addition chine colle, and plate. Even if I am quite content with the result, it now has nothing to do with my project.
